AFL Cape York
AFL Cape York House supports young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from remote Far North Queensland communities by providing safe, supportive accommodation while they complete their education. The program focuses on helping students transition into secondary school, with opportunities for education, training and employment in a culturally supportive environment. The boys’ boarding facility (opened 2013) accommodates up to 48 students, and the girls’ facility (opened 2019) supports up to 50 young women. Cairns Hardware is proud to support AFL Cape York and their work helping young people build strong futures.
